In this video, you’ll learn how to sync SharePoint online with Windows File Explorer. You probably already know how to access your files in SharePoint online, but wouldn’t it be great if you could interact with those files in the same manner as you do with local files on your computer? With Microsoft 365 and SharePoint online, syncing your files to File Explorer is easier than ever. First, we’ll log in to our Microsoft 365 account. Once logged in, we’ll click on the SharePoint app and then navigate to the folder that we want to sync in SharePoint. We click the site link on the left of the page, then navigate to the documents folder. From there, we will click into the folder that we want to sync. Here we can see the sync option in the ribbon above the files. When we click sync, we’re prompted to open Microsoft OneDrive. Sharepoint uses the sync engine from OneDrive to sync our folders. Next we click Always Allow and then click open to continue. Now OneDrive runs the sync and notifies us that the sync is successful. And just like that, we can now access our files from Windows File Explorer. This feature not only saves you time, but also the hassle of having to use your web browser for file management.
