The Summer Analyst Internship. The Lazard Middle Market summer analyst internship is a focused 10-week program for students between their junior and senior year of college.
Responsibilities. The summer analyst will work directly with analysts and associates in the M&A process. In most assignments, the summer analyst will assist in the following:
- Preparation of new business presentations
- Business research
- Valuation analysis
- Improving the quantitative quality and timelines of all client-related work
- Preparation of Confidential Offering Memoranda
- Spreadsheet, business plan, budget and forecast preparation and analysis
Summer analysts will receive an excellent introduction to LMM’s full-time analyst program. In cases of demonstrated performance and potential, LMM may extend employment offers for its full-time analyst program.
Qualifications. Applicants should have the following qualifications:
- Strong undergraduate academic performance (3.5 GPA or better)
- Background in accounting, finance, or economics preferred but not required
- Strong writing skills, as evidenced by writing samples
- Ability to work a demanding schedule
- Highly motivated with a strong desire to be the “best of the best”
